LAMO-Brentwood offers a one-week (3 practices) free trial every season for new athletes of all ages. No water polo experience is necessary, however, participants must be able to swim unassisted.

Water polo can be compared to basketball or soccer. Instead of running, however, athletes are swimming - forward and backstroke, up and down the pool.  When players aren't swimming, they're treading water.  Players never stand on or touch the bottom (or sides) of the pool.  One of the first things new players learn is "egg beater" - the very efficient water polo-method of treading water.

The free trial does not include participation in tournaments or scrimmages, and is available one time only.

The winter season will begin the week of December 1 and registration will open later this month.  Download the TeamSnap app after your child is registered to view the full season schedule.

Please note that you are registering for LAMO-Brentwood, which is different than Lamorinda Water Polo Club. Although we are affiliated, our teams, coaches and practice locations are different.

  • Click HERE to go to USA Water Polo

    • Select Join Now and create an account

    • For Membership Type, select Trial Athlete (last one on the list).

    • The Club Affiliation is Lamorinda Water Polo (1309)

    • Jot down the Membership ID # and Expiration Date and come back to this page for Step 2.

    • Click HERE to register in TeamSnap. 

      Have your child's USAWP Membership ID and expiration date ready.
